frumunda cheese?Well, it’s the middle of the work week which means I pull something from the office joke email folder I’ve maintained for several years.  This one actually came from my dad so you have to thank (or blame) him.

We’ve all been there but don’t like to admit it. As much as we try to convince ourselves otherwise, the WORK POOP is inevitable.

Disclosure: I’ve yet to watch a single episode of Castle
Moving on: I’ve more than a few friends who’ve been going on and on about Castle being a great show. More to the point they’re unanimous that it’s Nathan Fillion that’s great. I’m sure he is. I mean they had him on Lost which says it all. :-)

I love the expression on his face in this one.

Anyway, I’ll be one of the million that come next month will have a huge void to fill after the series finale of Lost. Once I’m through with the healing process I’ll give Castle a good look. When I do should I start from the beginning or can I just take it up from the current episode?

You've got to be F@#$ing kidding me!I get truly funny emails almost daily.  I thought, as it’s the middle of the work week, I’d share one along the lines of better office etiquette.  This may be the start of a regular feature.  Only time will tell.  Oh, and if you’re like me you’ve been an email user decades and as such may have seen this one before.  I hope you’re still able to get a chuckle or a nugget of wisdom you can apply in your day to day office interactions.

In the high pressure environment with the interpersonal relations that prevails today, I hope the letter below can be of some assistance.

Cussing at Work

Dear Employees:

It has been brought to management’s attention that some individuals throughout the company have been using foul language during the course of normal conversation with their co-workers.

Due to complaints received from some employees who may be easily offended, this type of language will no longer be tolerated.

There goes lunchMuch has changed in the way food is presented to us.  Nutritional labels, identifying food’s origin, and warning labels serve to protect us as consumers.  At the same time certain things have risen like portion sizes, obesity, and the resulting cost of related health care.  Some states and even the federal government have used regulations and are looking to do more along these lines to stem the tide.  Of course industry lobbyist paint a picture that these efforts not only negatively impact companies but unfairly target some ethnic and economic groups.  Personally, I don’t buy their position.

There are, however, a few things I didn’t know before that I thought to share.  You won’t find any study or survey results here.  If you’re interested then go ahead and use one of the links here or your favorite search engine to dig a little deeper.
